Skip ahead and now settled into her new life with a new friend named Chloe ( Jessica Meraz) and finding love again with chisel-chinned (hey, she has a type) Lucas ( Jake Allyn), Anna is feeling like all is coming together, finally. Having met a few years earlier while she worked at an art gallery, she fell for the handsome chisel-chin eccentric and his money, though when someone wearing a ski mask breaks into their house and threatens her to tell him where the money is, leaving Nick to throttle the guy with a hair dryer cord, questions arise. Either way, young, attractive waitress Anna (Barabas) knows this best, having done the unthinkable to get a new start after love done stunk it up for her, faking her own death (and that of her young son) to escape the clutches of her mysterious long-time lover, Nick ( Gino Anthony Pesi). Hidden in Plain Sight, 2019 © MarVista Entertainment It’s director Stacia Crawford‘s skeezy thriller Hidden in Plain Sight, though some might know it as Kill Me Twice yet no matter the name, it’s a cheese-filled mouthful of glutenous fun that is as tacky as it is silly, making it – obviously – ridiculously entertaining. But she went a different route than most, and oh how it went south. Ever been stuck in a bad relationship? What did you do to get out of it? Write an email? Maybe call a friend? Read some online advice column? Walk away? Well twenty-something hottie Anna ( Victoria Barabas) sure was in a wreck of relationship.
